How to stay sane and save money this November

We’re officially in November and this month is jam-packed with events. It can sometimes feel overwhelming especially with everything else that’s going on.

This month’s events include Guy Fawkes Night, Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Not to mention the US election and the latest UK lockdown. This is all happening at the same time as planning for Christmas which is just around the corner.

All this can be extremely stressful and not to mention expensive, so we’ve put a few tips together on how to stay sane and save money this November.

Planning and Preparation – Planning and preparation are very important when it comes to this time of the year. Plan each event in advance. This will not only help with budgeting but it will also reduce the stress surrounding the actual event. Helping you stay sane and save money. Include lists of gifts, meals and items that you may need to buy or make. This is a great way to stay on track of your finances. It will also help reduce stress and anxiety keeping you sane so that you can join in the celebrations.

Take advantage of deals and coupons-  Deals and coupons are a great way to save money. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching there will be an array of amazing deals and coupons available. Take advantage of these to help save money, especially on popular gift items like toys and tech. But don’t just wait for Black Friday and Cyber Monday for deals.  There are great deals available right now, especially on food and drink. Check out the deals available on Qmee, if you haven’t already!

Get Crafty – Not all gifts have to be bought, some can be made. It’s the perfect time to express your creative side and make some really meaningful gifts for friends and family. Check out Pinterest for some great crafty gift ideas or just use your own imagination. There is nothing more special than spending time creating something for someone you care about. This is also a great way to cut back on spending and save a bit of cash. Arts and crafts are also a great way to help reduce stress and aid relaxation so it’s a win, win for you!

Take some time out for yourself – Most importantly, remember to take some time out for yourself. The holiday season is a joyous time for most but it can also be stressful. Between all the planning and shopping it can be hard to find some time for yourself. Try and dedicate an hour or two a day to focus on yourself. Do something that you enjoy and that helps you relax. Whether that’s reading your favourite book or taking a survey on Qmee.
